The topological complexity of motion-planning algorithms can be viewed as a fibrewise Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of certain fibrewise pointed spaces. We are going to describe
a general change-of-fibre construction on fibrewise pointed spaces that allows the extension of standard methods from LS
category to the topological complexity.
