In this talk the ethical and, overall, practical difficulties for the development of methods to support plagiarism detection. We have worked on this topic during the last 2 years and an overview of our work will be presented including an analysis of the 1st International Competition on Plagiarism Detection. Additionally, an overview of the research we are carrying on at the NLEL-UPV will be discussed.
