SEMINARIO INTERDISCIPLINARE
In the second seminar, we will introduce some more exotic mathematical objects. We will use orbifolds to represent chords and voice leadings, giving few examples to prove their efficacy in music analysis. Finally we will show how the orbifold's model can even be a useful didactical tool, and we will give a brief overview on some new research directions, involving braids, dynamical systems and persistent homology.
